“PATH Achieve Glendale is my stepping stone to being able to start all over again.  Thanks for the great work and help.  I am very grateful and thankful.” – Cheryl

For homeless single adults leaving residential drug treatment programs, relapse can nearly be a certainty if sufficient supports are not in place.  PATH Achieve’s Next Step program provides formerly chronically homeless people with a history of addiction the benefit of more time to rebuild lives that took years to destroy.  All participants in this program hold full-time jobs or attend school, pay rent and attend weekly meetings to support their recovery.

Next Step currently has only 9 units of housing, so vacancies are not frequent and we do not keep a waiting list.  To qualify for this program, applicants must:

  • meet the federal definition of having a history of chronic homelessness (having a disability and being continuously homeless one year or longer, or repeatedly homeless, at least four time in three years)
  • have employment or a viable plan for obtaining employment
  • commit to following a plan to sustain recovery
  • agree to pay 30% of adjusted income for rent
